Biting Bat Collection is your one stop shop for black-owned, all inclusive, handmade jewelry. all products are designed by founder, Camari Michael (@bitingbat).

“Throughout my life, I was always looking for jewelry that suited my style. While there were some options, none of them were ever what I truly wanted. I began to imagine what accessorizing could really be like.  It can be fun, dark, complex, or simple and regardless, be beautiful. i strive to make pieces that highlight any and all aesthetic choices, as some of the things I value most are creatively, self expression, and radical self-acceptance.”

FAQ

How long does shipping take?

I do my best to ship out within 5 days of purchase (excluding customs). All packages are tracked through USPS. Packages usually arrive within 3-5 business days. I am not responsible for items lost or broken by the mail service. If you have an issue with your order please send me a message.

What size is my jewelry?

All pieces have lengths + sizes stated on the product listing. Standard necklace lengths for my shop are between 14” and 18”. I can adjust any and all neclace lengths, so if you need extra length, leave a note during checkout specifying how many inches it should extend.
How does pricing work?

Pricing is based on cost of materials and my labor. I use high quality beads, charms, and findings in order to ensure that my pieces are of the best quality. I design and create each piece by hand, some pieces are more labor intensive than others and materials are sourced from a variety of sellers. All materials I use are ethically sourced.

Can I return my item?
As a smalll business, I am unable to offer returns or refunds. In the case that you are unsatisfied with your piece, you can reach out to me to re-work it for an additional fee.
Is your jewelry waterproof? How do I maintain the condition of the piece?

Please do not wear your pieces while submerged in water (ie. the shower, pool, beach, etc.) Due to the intricate and delicate nature of the pieces that I create, it is not recommended to tug on them excessively or sleeping while wearing. I do a thourough examination and tug test on each and every piece prior to shipping. I work very hard to ensure sturdiness, but mistakes can happen in transit. In which case, I do offer free repairs.
